Seward Collins Letter April 2, 1931
Subject: Rejection of verse and comment on author's rhyming.

                                                          April 2, 1931

Dear Mr. Braley:

Many thanks for letting me see this. The sentiments
I agree with. But we use so little verse that I didn't just see
a way to make it fit in.

By the way, you are so careful about rhymes that I
am made to wonder whether you may not actually pronounce "esoterie"
to rhyme with "lyric", a pronunciation my dictionary doesn't
sanction. On the other hand, the two are of course near enough for
most standards.

                                                       Sincerely yours,

Mr. Berton Braley
